5 Minute Fruit Salad
I first made this fruit salad many years ago, in domestic goddess class at school, and have been making it ever since, it’s quick, easy and ever so tasty.
First choose your fruits, I know it’s the taste that is important but if you want the best look as well go for different colours. I generally use Apples, Mandarin Oranges, kiwi, Pear, Strawberries and Mango. Although I love bananas I don’t use them in salads as they tend to go a bit mushy.
So, you’ve chosen your fruit, now remove the stems, skin and cores from the fruit, respectively. Separate the orange into segments, cut the strawberries into half or quarters depending on their size, and slice the kiwi and apple. The pear and mango can either be cut into chunks or you can use a melon baller to scoop out the fruit.
Mix the fruit together in a bowl. Now forget about fruit syrup, forget about fruit juice, you’ve already got fruit. Let’s give this fruit salad a killer kick…..pour some good quality fizzy lemonade over the fruit, just enough to cover fruit.
Chill in the refrigerator for a little while and then enjoy!

NB. You can garnish your fruit salad with some mint, but ewww, I’d rather not.

Ooh I wonder if that works with fizzy wine too - instead of lemonade.
