Halloween Salad
So Halloween is nearly upon us, and you are going to need something tasty and warm after trick and treating with the kids. I have the perfect Killer Halloween Salad for you.
First you need a sheet of Nori cut into thin strips, with these you make a spider’s web on the centre of the plate, it doesn’t have to be perfect, mine isn’t, but it creates a good effect for the base of the Halloween Salad.

Next you need to slice the top off a large orange pepper, and remove the seeds from the centre. Now, just as you would do with a pumpkin for halloween, cut a face into the side of the pepper.

Now all you need to do is stuff the pepper with something tasty, I have used some Pilau rice boiled in a chicken stock and then mixed with red pepper, carrot and peas. I also added some shredded iceberg lettuce and placed it on the spiders web, with a couple of ready made but warmed Crispy Spring Rolls on top.
If you have any rice left you can use a chef’s ring or a straight sided cookie cutter to make a rice round, like I did below. simply pack the ring with the rice, and then gently lift the ring off.
Replace the top of the pepper and you are good to go!
