Marie Rose Prawn Salad
This is a recipe based on the classic starter dish, Prawn Cocktail, I was going to make Prawn Cocktail but then I changed my mind
and added some other ingredients and turned it into a Killer Salad.
First cook some pasta twists, drain and leave to cool. While the pasta is cooling you can make the Rose Marie Sauce
For the sauce you need 3 or 4 tablespoons of Mayonnaise, mix with a little Tomato Ketchup , just enough to make the mayonnaise pink, you don’t want the sauce tasting of ketchup, so go easy. Now just add a little Tabasco Sauce, sea salt and black pepper to taste.
To the sauce add some Prawns. Put this to one side for now.
Now for the salad I just used what I had in the fridge and cupboard, some iceberg lettuce shredded, some chopped red pepper, cucumber cut into small cubes, some tinned sweetcorn, drained, and some grated carrot. Mix that all together with the cooled pasta and place in bowl.
Now you just need to pour over the Prawns and Marie Rose sauce, that’s it, Enjoy!
